Posted - 25/07/2011 : 20:59:59 I've recently gotten a new kingsnake and after letting him/her settle in for a week I've begun handling. He has a tendency to bite, I've read that this is to be expected with young kingsnakes not used to handling, I was just wondering what would be the best method to get him off when he bites? |

Also he/she's a californian kingsnake. |

Posted - 25/07/2011 : 21:53:14 Thanks :) I'll try that next time. So far I've just been pulling him back gently but I was worried that this could possibly hurt him. |

Posted - 25/07/2011 : 21:28:17 there are a few methods one is to let him come off when hes finished but that may take some time. A gentle spray with cool water not cold will more than likely make him release or alcohol gel just where his nose is can work also.
