I came home today and i went to check on the animals and found a freshly shed Murray looking out at me from one of his hides! It's his first shed with me and it was a complete shed but it was tangled around a plant so its ripped in half when i tried to untangle it.
He was in blue the last time i tried to feed him and didn't take it so when i saw that he had shed and it was comming up to his feeding day anyway i went downstairs to start defrosting a mouse. When i got back upstairs ready to take pictures of my shiny new snake i looked in his viv and could't see him. I wasn't too worried at first because i have seen him hiding in some very small spaces but as i had a rummage in his substrate i still couldn't find him. I was really starting to panick now and took everything out of his viv and then finaly resorting to tearing my bedroom apart looking for him and eventually finding him curled up next to my laptop which was leaned up against a wall. By the time i found him i was in tears with worry and very relieved to have him back. Im still not sure how he escaped so i will have to keep and eye on him.

On a brighter note i fed him and he struck and ate the mouse without any hesitation It was his first propper feed with me as well so i am very proud of him
