Hey guys,
I bought a 6 month old Sinaloan Milk Snake 10 days ago and she's had just started to turn milky ready to shed. So I've had her in her fenarium without handling her since.

I've just given her a bath for about 20 mins and she shed all her skin apart from 1 inch on her tail. However when I went to put her back she was really jumpery and very jittery and appeared not to enjoy handling at all. Is this a combination of having just shed and being moved to a new home with a new owner?
Should I just leave her till this evening then try and get her out to play?

Thanks for you help.

Hi Gmac,
I think you were spot on, handled her and she was totally fine and looks absolutely beautiful now. Fed her for the first time yesterday too and she's all good now so thank you for your words of wisdom.

hi and welcome,

it will be the freshly shed part that will have got the snake going, also possibly having a bath some snakes dont put up with them at all and will stress them a bit, leave it for today and handle morrow this will give the snake a chance to settle down a bit.
