My milk snake is new to me and ive had him for around 4 weeks today.
Ive constantly got the problem of him musking/pooing on me i believe, especially after a meal. i always leave my snakes 2 days after feeding them, which my king and corn seem to be fine with.
any advice would be great !

It took my Cali king about 9 months to stop musking, although he still does it at feeding time on occasion. I've heard milks are more skittish so you could be in for the long haul with that, hopefully it should improve

we've had our pueblan about 5-6 months, and she still musks immediately if she gets held by someone she doesn't recognise the smell of- ie anyone who isn't me- she's always jittery for the first 5 minutes, then usually settles down. i think milks are generally more nervy than kings, ours just doesn't have the confidence our kings do, or even as much as the corn snakes, come to that-

you're probably going to get stinkied for a good while yet, i imagine. don't take it personally

It just takes time to him to get used to being handled. Most grow out of it but some never do. Fingers crossed!
