I seem to be losing a lot of heat through the bottom of my heat mat, is there anything I can put under it to insulate and direct the heat upwards into the tank rather than wasting it?
Thanks

The heat mat by its design will generate heat from both surfaces. The heat isn't really lost, it only warms the area of the viv floor which will actually contribute to the local ambient temperature. Trying to redirect it is a pointless exercise and not worth the effort.
