checked in on mortica today and the moss was bone dry so lifted her out to moisten the moss and she has a lump bigger than a chicken egg right by her vent and when i put her in the viv while i done the moss took her a few mins to righten herself as she was upside down, she then had a big drink and shes back in the nest now.I have rang the vets but shes fully booked today with operatios and appointments and then away on a course for the rest of the week, what do i do,hopefuly she will pass them today/tonight

quick update, dropped her off at the vets earlier and their going to give her inducing drugs and drain the first egg near the vent and pull it out using forceps and wont know more until the morning.

I would imagine that losing her wouldn't be that likely, If there's any issues I'd imagine that a vet would do something for the eggs and you'd have a (much) lighter wallet but still a good snake.
Was it Matty that had a similar issue last year with his corn? His corn is still going strong.

Hard not to worry though.

the vet got back to me last night and said to give her 48 hours and keep bathing her to hydrate her and if no progress by thursday she will make a exeption and see her, just gave her a warm bath and she spent about 5 mins drinking it then pooed out more off that gooey stuff.
Gingerpony Posted - 07/04/2010 : 14:29:10
i'd usually recommend a warm bath BUT with the lump the size that it is i don't think it would work

just noticed you posted this yesterday lee, any news yet hun?
Triangulum Posted - 06/04/2010 : 22:11:14
Thats not great news mate! My advice would be leave her be, try and not stress her anymore then what she is. Let us know how she gets on.
