hi, i just got my first mexican black a couple weeks ago, adult male, and so far its the best snake i have ever had, amazing animal. anyway, im wondering about feeding. I have fed him twice since i have had him, two adult mice each time. I know MBKs are ravenous snakes but he comes out a few hours after eating the two mice and wants more food. so basically im wondering if two mice is enough each time for an adult. He is about 4.5 feet long in 40 gallon breeder. room temp up to 88-90 on the hot side. one thing i am doing differentlly than the previous owner is i use uVB lighting on all my reptiles, even snakes. so, are two adult mice once a week enough??? |

2 adult mice is more than enough for him. My adult snakes only get 1 adult mouse. |

Exactly the same as my mbk. I moved him onto large mice last week and still after a few hours hes out and about, unlike my corns or royal who hide away after eating. |
