HI GUYS Q I HAVE JUST GOT A HYPO HONDURAN FROM MY LOCAL PET SHOP AND WHEN I GOT HER SHE WAS IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER I GOT HER HOME AND PUT HER IN A SMALL VIV COULD SOME ONE TELL ME HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SETTLE IN HER VIV AND WHEN IS IT BEST TO FEED HER  I HAVE A ROYAL PYTHON BUT THIS LITTLE MADAM IS SO FAST PLZ HELP |

| is best to let the snake settle for a week or so just to let it get acclimatised to its new home. Feed it anytime after that is fine. |
9.6 Corns, 1.0 Bci, 2.1 Royals, 1.1 king snakes, 0.0.1 milksnake, 1.1 black rat snakes, 1.2 Beardies, 1.0 shovelface

| How big of a container? I ask as you then say small viv and then asked what size heatmat to get for a 2ft x 2ft viv in another thread. |

YES I ASKED BECAUSE I AM USING A HEAT BULB AND ON THIS FORUM THEY SAY HEAT MATS ARE BETTER. AND THE PLASTIC TUB IS WHAT THE PET SHOPS SELL THERE SNAKES IN YEA. AND THE VIV IS A TWO STACK VIV I HAD MADE THE THING IS I KEEP ROYALS AND I DONT LIKE CORNS THATS Y I GOT A MILK SNAKE  |

| Is the milk only a baby then? I think a bulb would be fine as long as it guarded and statted, as with any heat source. |

YES ITS GOT A BULB GUARD. AND YES ITS ONLY A YOUNG ONE ITS ONLY A 1FT LONG WE PUT A PLANT IN ITS VIV AND I LOOKED AT IT THIS MORNING AND ITS GONE INSIDE THE PLANT POT AND ITS HEAD WAS JUST OUT OF THE POT IT WAS FUNNY IT MUST BE ENJOYING ITS HOME NOW . YES I ASKED ABOUT THE HEAT MAT BECAUSE I HAVE A THERMOSTAT THAT COMES ON THEN GOES OFF WHEN THE TEMP IS THERE SO THE BULB GOES ON AND OFF THATS Y I WANTED I HEAT MAT. |
