I was wanting a Tangerine milk snake but due to them possibly reaching 6ft in size i am having to rethink, could someone tell me which species of milk grow to 4/5ft in size, same kinda size my corn will grow to.
Cheers.

I have lots of animals & if you ask me I'll tell you what they are.

You may also want to goggle separate caresheets and take a google and gander for the species on rfuk. I'm sure a few care-sheets would pop up-there and peoples pictures and experiences with them such as temperament and size, feeding :D

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

Just to clarify. A milkshake is the species. A Honduran Milksnake is a sub-species.

Hondurans will readily out grow 5-6ft. If you want a calm but pretty Milk, Sinaloan/Nelson/Stuarts would be a good option.

Hey Ailsa (my Doberman is called Ailsa, beautiful name, we chose it because it meant 'noble and pure'), I'm a recent herp convert, got my first snake at Easter, a cute little Pueblan Milk Snake about 20inches long. I was told I'd probably hardly see her and spend the rest of my days trying to catch her, but she is just fab.

She let's me pick her up and she eats like a horse. She also likes to explore her viv in the early evening and goes 'walkabout' (ok, slither about). She is beautiful and should reach between 3.5-4ft once full grown.

I considered several milks and the Cali banded king as well as a royal python but I was put off the pythons because of the feeding issues (all the advice said they can be fussy feeders - and I wasn't keen on filling my freezer with baby rats, whereas small mice I can cope with).

Wasn't interested in corn or garter snakes and kep coming back to milks because of the stunning colours.
Had looked at the Honduran but was told they can be a bit skittish and more likely to nip. The Pueblan I've got is very placid: I spent a bit of time in the shop getting to know the half dozen or so different milks and came back to the very first one I handled because she was so chilled. My advice: do your research, check out the forums, look at YouTube (lots of vids of your preferred snakes and plenty of advice on general care) and at the end of the day, go with your gut instinct - but be sensible. No good getting a snake you won't have room to adequately house. At the moment, Hissing Ssssid is in a 2ft terrainium and when full grown she will need a minimum 3ft by 1ft in order to stretch full length but if she exceeds 4ft we will have to go up a viv size. Easier to do with a small milk, couldn't have got a Honduran knowing one could easily reach 6ft

1 Pueblan Milk Snake; 1 African Mantis; several of it's locust lunch mates; various Stick Insects); 1 Doberman; several cats; and 5 fish
